Out of place, out of time walkthrough
Below is a walkthrough for the Out of Place, Out of Time transmedia story experience. It is recommended to follow this walkthrough only if you get stuck.
- Website: Once you find your way to the Little Bit o' Brit website built by Irina Adler, you will navigate through the site until you stumble upon the YouTube video link for Nick of Time. Hitting play will open the video in a new window/tab for YouTube.
- YouTube: The video reveals our two lost characters: Sherlock Homes and Dr. Watson, both completely out of their element as evident in the video. After the two have settled down and Sherlock has greeted you, he will inform you of a letter that was delivered to himself and Watson--it mentions a "tweet" and the letter is signed by J.M. Napoleon.
- Twitter: Go to Twitter (where there are tweets!) and look for J.M. Napoleon's twitter page which just so happens to be named (you guessed it!) @JMNapoleon. There you will find several riddles in the form of words and photographs. These will be used to tell the location of the train that Holmes and Watson must get to and the time they must be on the train, ready for their departure back to the past.
- Tweet/Riddle One: Scroll to the very first tweet that J.M. Napoleon posted. It reads: Two trains both enter a one way tunnel at different ends exactly on 12:00, but they both come out the other end unharmed 5 minutes later. The answer to the riddle is not the answer to the clue - the riddle is the answer itself (confused yet?!). Holmes and Watson need to be on the train at 12:00 PM noon!
- Tweet/Riddle Two: Here you see four images, two men and two crowns. These images represent Kings. So the first part of the location that Holmes and Watson need to find themselves at is the word: Kings.
- Tweet/Riddle Three: An image of a cross (also a sign being held with the word "cross" in it) is in Napoleon's third tweet. The image of the cross represents the second word to the location of the train the two blokes need to be on: Cross.
- Tweet/Riddle Four: The image found in this tweet contains two well-known landmarks - Big Ben and the London Eye. Therefore the final piece to the puzzle for the train's whereabouts is the word (and location): London.
- Email: Once the location of the train that Holmes and Watson need to be on (including the time), email the answer to Irina at: [email protected]. If the answer sent to Irina told the fellas to be on the train, which is located at King's Cross in London, at 12pm, all will be well. If not... try again!
